Nana and Kaya visit!

Nana and Kaya visited from Xenia on the most blustery day of the year! Good thing we got some pictures of everyone playing at the park before our power went out...

First word?

Abba and Ima think Ashi is saying his first comprehensible/directional word - "ball." Watch and see what you think!

It's tough to get video of Ashi's nekkie time that is not too revealing for the internet. Lucky for us, we got some footage of nekkie time PLUS the special song that Auntie Al wrote for it!

Fun at the park + game day

Asher took Rivky for a walk through the woods today, and then went to the park.

The slide was lots of fun once Ashi got used to it!

Of course, we can't forget to mention the first BUCKEYE game of the season! Ashi celebrated by wearing his new sweatshirt and watching the game with Abba. (Hint: you can tell it was "man time" because Ashi doesn't have any pants on.)

Ima broke down and got a 4-D ultrasound of the new baby. She thinks he looks mostly like Ashi, but a little more like Abba than Ashi does. What do you think?

Peekaboo

Fry Day!!! (AKA Saba day)

Saba comes to get Ashi from school at least once a week. Then they have an evening of fun! The first stop is usually the store, where Saba buys Ashi whatever he wants. Here you can see him with his brand-new ball and his new Dubi, "Peanut Butter." Thanks Saba!

The next stop is Burger King. Ashi always gets two things there. The first is fries. He loves to share.

The second thing he always gets is cookie dough pie. Saba makes sure he gets as many mouthfuls as he wants.

So glad to have Abba in Ohio!

Asher sure is glad that Abba finally moved to Ohio! Especially since Abba is willing to do things that Ima is not, like play in the swimming pool. Here are some fun pictures from the other day.

MUD!!!

Asher and Rivky collaborated to make a mud hole in the backyard. She dug the hole, and Ashi poured the water. Rivky must have known Ima would then take her off the leash to prevent Rivky from playing in the mud too. So, Ashi had a great time and Rivky got off the leash. The only one who lost out was Ima when she had to clean the bathtub after Ashi's post-mud bath...

Ima doesn't think we can call him a "walker" yet, but she still thought these five solo steps she caught on video were pretty impressive!

Asher and Ima are finally in Columbus and calm enough to spend some time at the park and pull out the ol' DSLR. (Sorry, Abba, we're working on a good video to post.)

Asher was not a big fan of the swing, no matter how much of a fool Ima made of herself trying to get him to smile. This pretty much captures his expression the entire time he was swinging:

Ashi loves to help Ima pack. It's too bad that Ima has to go back and re-do all his work...

The Please Touch Museum

We are experiencing an historic heat wave in Philadelphia, so Asher and Ima are trying to find fun air-conditioned places in which to hang out over the next few days. Today we were at the Please Touch Museum in downtown Philly.

It's very hot outside. Good thing Ashi loves watermelon. Watch the whole video to see him "sharing" with Rivky, plus see how we know that Ashi is DONE with this whole highchair thing.

Ima Graduated!

Ima is a rabbi now. That means Asher's name changes to "Asher Benayah ben haRav ______!" He was very excited.

It was a long ceremony. Asher cuddled up with Abba for most of it:
